1. Anti-tumor effects
The inhibition rate of water extract of maitake fruiting body on sarcoma 180 in mice and Ehrlich ascites tumor (cancer) in mice reached more than 90%. The inhibition rate of maitake polysaccharide on toe inoculation and axillary inoculation of Lewis lung cancer was 67.83% respectively. 72.44% and 45.36%~ 46.31%, the inhibition rates of Colon cancer are 50.68%~ 56.03% and 37.31%~ 40.47% respectively. Maitake antler polysaccharide D-component showed stronger tumor inhibition effect. By regulating the body's immune function, such as activating natural killer cells, complement and phagocytes, the anti-cancer effect is achieved.
2. Immunomodulatory effect
Maitake polysaccharide D-component was injected by mice I .P. (0.5 mg/kg) or orally (1.0 mg/kg) for 10 days, natural killer cells, cytotoxic T cells and delayed sensitive T cells were activated 1.5~2.2 times, the amount of interleukin-1 and superoxide anion was also increased, and interleukin-2 was increased 1.7 times. Related studies show that, maitake polysaccharide can stimulate macrophages to accelerate the release of cytokines.
3. Anti-viral effect
Maitake polysaccharide can inhibit influenza virus and herpes simplex virus type I. Japanese scholars have proved that Maitake's dextran sulfate has the activity of inhibiting HIV and can improve the symptoms of Kapoch sarcoma in patients with advanced AIDS. The mechanism is that maitake polysaccharide promotes interferon induction.
4. Other effects
To patients with hypertension take maitake 500mg/time, 2 times a day, for 6 weeks, found a significant antihypertensive effect. In diabetic rats fed 1 gram of maitake fruit body powder per day, glucose in the blood decreased, and insuli and triglycerides in the plasma had similar changes to blood sugar. Maitake extract significantly reduced the increase in blood alanine aminotransferase (SGPT) and blood alanine aminotransferase (SGOT) concentrations due to liver injury caused by oral administration of 4-acetaminophen.
