Chuanxiong extract is the water or alcohol extract of the dried rhizomes of the Umbelliferae plant, alkaloids, organic acids and phthalides as the main active components. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, respiratory, urinary system and gynecological diseases.
1. Effects on the cardiovascular system
Chuanxiong extract has the effect of dilating coronary and peripheral blood vessels, and has a good effect on relieving angina pectoris of coronary heart disease.
