Nervonic acid may enhance the brain function and prevent demyelination. It exists in nature as an elongation product of oleic acid, its immediate precursor being erucic acid.
This acid is an important member of the group of the cerebrosides, which are fatty acids of the glycosphingolipids group,
important components of the muscles and the central nervous system and peripheral.
Indeed, it is one of the major fatty acids in brain sphingolipids, normally accounting for approximately 40% of the total fatty
acids in sphingolipids.
Nervonic acid is a fatty acid. It is a monounsaturated analog of lignoceric acid. It is also known as selacholeic acid and cis-15
tetracosenoic acid.
Nervonic acid is an essential nutrient for the growth and maintenance of the brain. It consists of choline, sphingosine,
phosphoric acid, and fatty acid.

Function
1. Nerve acid is a necessary nutrient substance to the growth of nerve cell, cell's re-development and maintenance. It can be
directly used on the damaged nerve fibers, which can recover the nerve cells to stimulate, conduction impulse, the ability to
integrate information and memory information.
2. Relieving and restoring memory dysfunction, limb movement disorders due to impaired nerve fibers and nerve cells, and Paralysis and other symptoms, to improve stroke sequelae;
3. Significantly improve memory.
4. With age, the body's nerve acid content decreased, supplementation of nerve acid can effectively prevent degenerative brain,
reduce the risk of dementia, cerebral palsy, brain atrophy, memory loss, insomnia and other diseases
Application
1. Multiple sclerosis
Exogenous nerve acid intake can promote the synthesis of sphingosine (such as cerebroside ganglioside, etc.) and sphingomyelin in
vivo, thereby promoting myelinization of nerve fibers, regeneration of exfoliated myelin sheath, and improvement of multiple
Symptoms of sclerosis contribute to the recovery of damaged nerve fibers.
2. Nerve acid is beneficial for the treatment of adrenoleukodystrophy.
3. Nerve acid can promote the development of nervous system in patients with syndrome.
4. Regulating blood lipids, preventing all kinds of inflammation, lowering serum cholesterol, and removing harmful substances inthe blood.
