Product Profile
Pyrethrin is a natural pyrethrum extract with insecticidal medicinal value. It contains pyrethrin I, pyrethrin II, cucurrin and jasmonatrin. Pyrethrins have a broad insecticidal spectrum, high gastric toxicity, and are particularly effective against chewing mouthparts pests; they also have strong contact killing effects and are mainly used to control sucking mouthparts pests; and they are knocked down quickly and are harmful to lactation. It is safe for animals, easily biodegradable and does not pollute the environment. In the mid-1940s, before the advent of chemical synthetic pesticides such as organochlorine, organophosphorus and amino acid methyl ester pesticides, pyrethrum preparations were widely used to control agricultural pests and achieved good results. Its efficacy and photostability exceed those of natural pyrethrins and three commonly used synthetic pesticides: organophosphorus, organochlorine and carbamate. In recent years, synthetic products have gradually replaced natural products and are used not only for indoor pest control, but also for the prevention and control of agricultural pests.

Physical and chemical properties
It is a light yellow oily viscous substance with extremely low vapor pressure and almost insoluble in water. Easily soluble in organic solvents, such as alcohols, chlorinated hydrocarbons, nitromethane, pyrethrin activity is rapidly hydrolyzed in alkaline solutions, and subsequently loses insecticidal activity. Synergists have a stabilizing effect.

Application
Can be used to produce aerosol insecticides, mosquito coils, animal shampoo and green pesticides, etc.
