Extraction Source

It is a resin that solidifies after flowing out from the bark wounds of plants such as Myrrh tree and Ehrenburg myrrh tree in the olive family. Crude medicines are harvested as solidified resins that flow out from artificially created wounds or naturally flow out. Generally taken in winter.

Myrrh is in the form of irregular granule agglomerates, of different sizes, reddish brown or yellowish brown, with rough surface and covered with dust.
