Description:
Primroses are biennial herbs. Stem base and roots red, usually pinkish, few plants unpinkish. Ye Jisheng; Petiole 10 -- 15cm long, fleshy when fresh, narrowly winged, much thinner. The cell; Leaf blade ovate to elliptic-ovate, 3 -- 10 x 2 -- 8cm, apex rounded, base cordate or truncate, margin irregularly lobed, lobed serrulate, hairy above, glaucous below. Powdery or sparsely hairy, leaves membranous. Scape 1 or more drawn from leaves, 20 -- 40cm tall, pilose or absent. Hair, powderless or scattered with a little white.
