Extract Source 
African sloe, also known as African pygeum, is produced in Africa. It is a wild tree plant of the Rosaceae family, Prunus subfamily. The Latin name is Pygeum Africanum/Prunus africana. The bark of the used part is used.

The raw materials are sourced from mountain forests at altitudes of 1000 to 2500 meters in West Africa (Ghana, Cameroon), East Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Eastern Congo and Madagascar).

Pygeum africana is a traditional herbal medicine used to treat prostatitis. It contains plant components (sterols) that can eliminate inflammation and reduce the swelling of the prostate due to irritation. Reduces nocturia and interrupted urination.
