Description:
Herbs annual, 10 ~ 60cm tall. The whole plant is covered with white powdery hair. After breaking off, the juice will turn blue and black after a few minutes. Stem erect or base inclined, rooting ground, green or reddish brown. Leaves opposite; Leaf blade linear-elliptic to lanceolate, 3 -- 10 x 0.5 -- 2.5cm, entire or slightly denticulate, covered with white pinkish hairs on both sides. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, involucre campanulate, involucre 5 ~ 6, receptacle flat, receptacle bearing a few ligulate flowers and most tubular flowers; Ligulate flowers female, corolla white, developed or undeveloped; Tubular flowers bisexual, yellow-green, fully developed. Achenes yellow black, ca. 3mm long, glabrous. Flowering July ~ September, fruiting September ~ October. On roads, wetlands, ditches or fields. Distributed throughout the country.
