Acanthopanax, also known as Acanthopanax senticosus, alias: Acanthopanax, Kanguai Bangzi, Baibaizhen, Tiger Liao, Acanthopanax ginseng, Russian ginseng, Siberian ginseng, deciduous shrub, mainly distributed in Northeast Asia and Siberia. Its roots and rhizomes can be used as medicine. It grows in hillside forests and roadside shrubs; it is often cultivated in medicinal gardens. Distributed in Central China, East China, South China and Southwest China. The root bark can dispel rheumatism and strengthen muscles and bones. It can be soaked in wine to make Acanthopanax bark wine (or Acanthopanax bark powder). The root bark contains volatile oil, tannins, palmitic acid, linseed oleic acid, vitamins A and B1.

Efficacy of Acanthopanax:
