What is Theanine?
Theanine is an abundant non-protein derived amino acid that was first isolated from green tea leaves in the late 1940s by Sakato   L-theanine has been studied as a food additive and functional food in relation to human nutrition. It has noticeable bioactivities including anti-cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, stress-reducing, antitumor, anti-aging, and anti-anxiety activities[5, 6].
