Sterculia scaphigera extract is the seed extract of Sterculia scaphigera Wall., which contains galactose, tragacanthin, pentose sugar, the active ingredient Sterculia scaphigera, and trace elements such as calcium and magnesium. Polysaccharides are functional components and have the functions of anti-inflammation, treating bacillary dysentery and inhibiting the formation of calcium oxalate crystals.

Function
1. Purgative effect
The leaching solution of Pectinus oleracea seeds has a laxative effect on rabbits. It can increase the volume of the intestines and cause mechanical stimulation to cause laxative diarrhea. The outer bark, soft shell, and kernels of the fat beetle were extracted by water leaching respectively. For anesthetized dogs, no matter what method of administration, intestinal peristalsis can be significantly increased. This effect can be antagonized by atropine; the kernel leaching solution of 1:400,000 can significantly increase intestinal peristalsis. The intestinal peristalsis of isolated rabbits increased, but the effects of other second layers were not obvious.

2. Anti-inflammatory and effects on immune function
Intraperitoneal injection of the Pestifera seaweed extract has a significant inhibitory effect on auricle swelling caused by 2% croton oil. Further studies have shown that its main anti-inflammatory active ingredient is polysaccharide, and it is ineffective when taken orally, suggesting that its anti-inflammatory active ingredient cannot be absorbed through the intestines. 3. Effect on vascular smooth muscle

6.Other functions
The water-infused extracts of the skin, soft shell and kernels of P. oleifera all have certain diuretic and analgesic effects, with kernels being the strongest. None of the three have any local irritating effects.
